E. MacDonnell. I strongly recommend his 'The Snake Boats'. It was inspired by actual covert operations and I feel it was one the author enjoyed writing as it contains some wonderfully Australian humor at strategic points. Okay, I am familiar with Macdonnell's James Dark pseudonym and read his Mark Hood spy books under that name many years ago, but South Pacific Fury and his apparently plentiful men's adventure novels have eluded me. Must track this one down ASAP if only for the fantastic cover art alone...Bishsbeathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11785880438184242612noreply@blogger.com
