The next two saw Moolman have a heavier and heavier hand, to the degree that dad disowned those books in a way I never heard him talk about anything else he wrote. <br /><br />But if it reminded you of Doc Savage... dad was a HUGE Doc Savage fan, and you weren't imagining things at all. These books are part of his ongoing tribute to the 1930s adventure pulps in general, and DOC and THE SPIDER in particular.
