  2. I loved this episode as I began reading Johnstone a year or so ago (because I end up shopping at my closest store...WalMart). Amazon has the three Ransom (wolf man) novels on ebook; Wolfsbane, Hunted, and Prey (you mentioned only hearing about a third novel that made this a trilogy). And finally, I am in total agreement regarding the Rig Warrior books (or whatever they are called). I loved the premise, but the one I read (the latest) was so full of racist stereotypes, I was shocked that it was written in the 2020's.

  3. What a terrific episode !! Your father gave you the perfect gift many years ago… a love of reading 🤓 I didn’t really learn to read until the third grade….other priorities. It was all over for me when the Hardy Boys caught my eye. Then Edgar Rice Burroughs showed up a few years later. Any thoughts of an episode on his books ? Can’t wait for the next podcast.

    1. I’m glad you enjoyed the episode and my Dad’s commentary. I’m thankful for him. Yeah, Edgar Rice Burroughs should be a priority. The funny thing is that I’ve never read him. Shame on me. I believe Tom has though.

  4. Great episode, and really enjoyed hearing from "Dad." I'm curious about something mentioned during the discussion of Johnstone's right-wing fiction. What are some of the left-wing men's adventure series talked about? (Full disclosure—I'm left-wing, although I try not to be stupid about it, and I love the Death Merchant, for example). Theysound amusing. Thanks and keep up the great work!
